Requirements for those wishing to participate in whitewater kayaking trips

1. You must demonstrate that you are able to consistently roll in a pool.
2. You must demonstrate that you are able to negotiate the Itchnetucknee bridge rapids (or comparable) and perform a roll in flowing water. A surf trip is also acceptable
3. You must do the Nantahala or a river of similar difficulty before doing the Ocoee or a river of similar difficulty.
4. Before leading a trip, you must have participated in at least two trips on rivers of similar difficulty. You must be approved by a club member who has led such trips in the past or have appropriate certifications/experience.
