Climbing: A few dozen routes line a single long wall which is about a 5 minute walk from the main parking lot. Almost everything is top-roping or trad, but there are a few fairly run-out sport routes.
Camping: No admission to Pilot Mountain park after 8PM - we stayed at a developed site on Badin Lake in Uwharrie National Forest the first night and at a developed Pilot Mountain site the next.
