Getting There: Somewhere near Banner Elk, NC - started on 19E and hiked to Carver Gap
Hiking: 12 miles through forests and along ridges. Maybe around 6000 feet of uphill total. Sinking 1-2 feet deep in snow for large portions of hike. Spectacular in sections.
