Southwest Roadtrip - March 4th-13th, 2011

Schedule

Friday: Left Gainesville at 4PM, stopped at Mardi Gras around midnight (Bourbon Street, beignets at Cafe du Monde, and po-boys)
Saturday: Reached Austin around 10am, went climbing at Reimers Ranch, ate some awesome brisket, drove west
Sunday: Reached Vegas around noon, went climbing at Red Rocks, got Thai food, wandered around The Strip, picked up Kevin at the airport, crashed at Bevin's
Monday: Went to Zion and hiked Angels Landing (best trail ever), stayed at Motel 6 in Cedar City
Tuesday: Went skiing at Brian Head, camped on snow at Bryce Canyon
Wednesday: Hiked Navajo Loop and Queens Garden, drove to Page to explore Water Holes slot canyon, camped at Grand Canyon
Thursday: Got permit morning-of and hiked down South Kaibab trail (7 miles), set up camp at Bright Angel Campground, day-hiked to Ribbon Falls (6 miles each way, spectacular), ran out of water and jogged up to Cottonwood Campground (1.5 miles)
Friday: Hiked up Bright Angel Trail (9 miles), started driving east
Saturday: Climbed at Mount Magazine in Arkansas
Sunday: Went to Florida Caverns, Sister Sinks, amazing country buffet in Mayo, and Bob's River Place
