Suwannee River Paddle Dec 17th - 22nd, 2008

What: Six days and five nights of paddling along what we were told (by a random old man) is the nicest section of the entire 180 mile river.

Scenery: Tall limestone cliffs, white water rapids, spring bath houses, and four dead boars.

Activities: Braving Big Shoals, night hikes, charades by the campfire, and lots of paddling.

Camping: Mostly primitive along the banks of the river, with the exception of one night at the luxurious Holton Creek River Camp.

Put in/ Take out: Turner boat ramp/ Suwannee River State Park (a good, detailed river map is available at Stephen Foster State Perk)
